Singapore Rating Board Uncovers Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition

The IMDA, Singapore's rating board, has granted an "M18" rating to a yet-to-be-announced version of Horizon Forbidden West. This mature 18 rating came about due to the game's "sexual references". The game, known as "Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition", surfaced on the IMDA's site and includes both the main game and its expansion, "Burning Shores".

In the game, which is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth, the lead character, Aloy, ventures westward to locate the origin of a strange signal and try to restore the Earth. The game is a third-person one and involves the player fighting human and alien enemies and collecting items in the process.

Blood effects are evident but do not stain the in-game environment, and combat is often intense. Its M18 rating is largely due to sexual references, including same-sex relationships and depictions of same-sex kissing and hugging, both of which automatically garner an M18 rating.
