The Fate of 'Project Sirius' - CD Projekt Red Explains What’s Going On

The success of CD Projekt Red's Witcher series has generated huge expectations from gamers around the world and, with it, the desire to know more about the studio's current and future projects. One of these is Project Sirius, a mysterious game that CD Projekt Red has kept closely guarded. Recently, CD Projekt Red provided more details on the game, offering an insight into what the future holds for Project Sirius.

Project Sirius is a multiplayer game set in the Witcher universe and is being developed by the Molasses Flood, which CD Projekt Red acquired in 2021. Initial reports have suggested that it will include a procedurally-generated world, perhaps due to the studio wanting to explore a different kind of game structure.

In a recent financial report, CD Projekt Red's VP of finance, Piotr Nielubowicz, provided a crucial update on the development of Project Sirius. While work is still ongoing, he mentioned that the studio is open to “reconsidering” its original concept, even if development has already begun. This could mean that Project Sirius might undergo some major changes to ensure that it remains competitive in the gaming market.

At the same time, it's worth noting that CD Projekt Red is also working on the fourth installment, Project Polaris, and The Witcher remake, Canis Majoris. The studio is clearly venturing into uncharted territories, which suggests that we might see some big changes from the typical Witcher formula.

Ultimately, it is too early to know what the eventual outcome of Project Sirius will be; however, this latest update from CD Projekt Red has been enough to keep the project's future in the minds of gamers everywhere. Whether the studio will proceed with the current plan or make changes remains to be seen. Regardless of the final result, the studio is sure to create an exciting and unique experience for gamers.
