Earlier, Square Enix verified several enhancements in the remake version to make the game experience smoother. For instance, there are new difficulty level settings, speed adjustments for battles and movements, and multiple graphic modes on modern generation consoles.

The Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake making is slated to be released on November 14 and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The sequel, a combined HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest 1 and 2, which comes after Dragon Quest 3 in the original trilogy series, is expected in 2025.
