Introducing Sierra—Overwatch's New Trailblazer in Recon Damage

The anticipation in the Overwatch community is rising as a new hero makes her debut. Blizzard has continued its streak of fresh introductions by providing extensive details on the latest character, ensuring that the momentum from last season remains unbroken.

Although five new heroes joined the fray in the early part of 2026, the excitement is far from over. After a brief tease and an animated reveal, clear information has now been shared about Sierra, who will take on a role as a Recon Damage specialist.

Sierra’s combat toolkit features a unique armament known as the Helix Rifle. This weapon follows a spiral-inspired firing sequence that contracts with continuous use. Her kit is rounded out by three abilities:

• One ability marks foes so that subsequent shots home in automatically.
• An aerial companion enables rapid movement by allowing her to dash towards it.
• A grenade-style skill generates a forceful shockwave upon landing.

Her ultimate, Trailblazer, deploys a drone that charges forward while dispersing explosive devices along its path.

Sierra also benefits from a set of perks designed to enhance her combat effectiveness. The first enhancement expands the range for both flight and grappling via her drone ability, while another refines the firing spread, ensuring tighter projectile grouping. Additionally, a support perk enables her movement drone to carry a small health pack, and another boosts her firing speed for a brief period when targeting marked enemies.

Fans can look forward to seeing Sierra in action as her arrival is set for April 14, sparking further excitement about upcoming battles in the game.
