Valheim Continues Its Sales Success, Surpassing 12 Million Copies

Despite facing challenges, Embracer's Swedish Viking hit from its Coffee Stain Publishing division is still experiencing strong sales. This information was shared during their annual meeting, where it was joyfully announced that more than 12 million copies of Valheim have been sold since it was launched just over two years ago.

The game, which was released in Early Access on Steam in February 2021, was able to sell three million copies in less than a week. By April 2022, the game's developer, Iron Gate Studios, announced they had sold ten million copies.

Valheim, now also accessible on Xbox since March, has significantly influenced Coffee Stain. In response to the game's success, the company is contemplating the prospect of turning Valheim into a broader franchise over the next decade. Valheim is expected to remain in Early Access for at least another year, but we are hopeful about the company's ambitious plans. The possibilities are limitless.
